Procedures
Breast enlargement
Breast enlargement surgery involves inserting implants, using a fat transfer, or sometimes both to create symmetrical and larger breasts. Uneven or a lack of breasts due to breast cancer necessitates breast enhancement surgery.
Silicone and saline implants are two breast implants to increase breast size. Silicone implants are a popular choice because they feel like natural breasts and are unlikely to wrinkle. But there are side effects because they can move throughout the breasts, causing lumpiness. However, saline implants are more natural, and when they burst, the salt absorbs right back into the body.
First, incisions are made below or at the sides of the breasts and the implants are positioned correctly. Finally, closing the incisions is the final stage of surgery, and a dressing helps preserve the surgical site.
Other surgical techniques include:
- A fat transfer to enhance breast size involves removing excess fat from one part of the body and remodelling the fat cells to use inside the breasts. Fat grafting is a surgical way of lifting the breasts and contouring them appropriately.
- Breast implants, along with fat grafting, combine high-grade implants with a fat transfer to achieve subtle yet beautiful-looking breasts. This is often considered a hybrid procedure to increase the cup size and reduce wrinkles in the breast’s skin. Fat is retrieved from the thighs, buttocks or abdomen using liposuction. After filtering the fat, the purified contents are used to improve the volume, symmetry and size of the breasts.
Buttock enhancement
Buttock augmentation is surgery to manipulate the size of the Gluteus Maximus, the hip’s primary extensor muscle and the largest of the three gluteal muscles. This is done to create the appearance of a larger buttock. Then, buttock implants are carefully placed inside the buttock tissues. A Brazilian Butt Lift, however, differs because this technique involves increasing the size of the buttock by means of a fat transfer. So, fat is taken from one area of the body and re-purposed to the buttock.
Recovery
When the anaesthetic wears off, painkillers are given to reduce pain and discomfort in the area. When under general anaesthesia, you cannot drive or go to work until the numbing agent wears off.
A specific set of wound care instructions will help prevent infection, pain and swelling at the surgical site.
